Pink nanako’s latest single shinjuku is literally named after one of TOKYO’s most iconic neighborhoods, but honestly, that cover art is impossible to ignore 😳❤️

According to composer nocco, the track actually started from a remix of konanoko’s earlier song Shinjuku N Club, which was released on the same day 💿✨ The remix accidentally turned into this super cute retro pop moment, and the vibe felt so perfect that nocco decided to give the song to nanako 🎀

And about that dramatic crimson sky? Apparently there’s no secret message hiding behind it 👀

The photo shoot just happened to take place after an evening rain shower, and TOKYO occasionally gets these insanely vivid skies afterward 🌧️🌇❤️

Still, there’s definitely something powerful about choosing Shinjuku. DJ Radiant, who quietly works behind the scenes on nanako’s production, says the concept came from an idea passed down by a senior creator. Shinjuku is one of those places with almost TOO much energy, whether you see that energy as exciting or overwhelming ⚡🏙️

That intensity made both the song and the artwork feel totally right for the whole TOKYO concept.
